James N. Kufdakis, MD
James N. Kufdakis, MD has been practicing medicine for over 40 years, and has extensive experience treating patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Kufdakis is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Kufdakis earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated medical school at Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico, and then completed his residency internship through the University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois (Cook County).
After completing his training, Dr. Kufdakis worked in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, where he has served as a Medical Director in correctional facilities, nursing homes, and clinics affiliated with Indian Health Services and the Cherokee Nation. He also has several years of experience working with Veterans Affairs in both Oklahoma and Florida. In 2021, Dr. Kufdakis retired from governmental medical practice with Veterans Affairs, and resumed private practice in the State of Florida.
At Forest Hill Medical Group, Dr. Kufdakis treats each patient with the utmost compassion, providing quality and comprehensive healthcare for patients, giving each patient keen and detailed attention to meet those primary care medical needs.
He was born a First Generation of immigrant parents from Greece, his Father being a physician who continued to practice in the United States, retiring after over 50 years of medical practice. Dr. Kufdakis’ passion for medicine started watching his father in his own practice.
When Dr. Kufdakis is not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, volunteering in the community, and enjoys sports, particularly martial arts, soccer, football, and baseball.
Dr Kufdakis is fluent in English, Greek, and Spanish.
